BUILDING NEW AGE THINKERS

The entire human society today is staring at a Historic Inflection Point. * Such a phenomenon occurred 100 years back, when era of oil had begun, combined with mass production, wireless and aviation. A century later, we are in middle of another inflection point, this time it is renewable energies, exponential digital technologies and increasingly aggressive customers.

Historic Inflection Points are moments of churning, destruction of the old and rise of the new. For example, future electric vehicles may be made by software companies like Apple and Google and future energy generation companies may be a combo of software and hardware, resulting in SMART power grids. Robots and AI will replace human beings in manufacturing, Genomics and Nano molecules will drive medicinal sciences and Peer to Peer lending will replace the banking system with bitcoins and blockchain.

This is unusual and momentous. In such historic occasions, past knowledge, experience and intuition proves futile when we encounter something strange and totally unfamiliar. The ability to THINK becomes critical in such complex and volatile situations. This is just not applicable to business, but in all walks of life. The energies of young minds will have to be focused in a particular direction: - how to use existing educational competencies to understand what may happen in next ten years. Without developing the THINKING abilities, youngsters may falter and become failures in life, as the historic inflection point will stretch to 2030.
